I believe most people in the rim country are friendly. There are and always will be a few that are not the friendliest or honest, but from my experience over the last 24 years the people who I've interacted with have been very friendly.

I concur! The people in the rim country help make the rim country what it is - a great place to live!

I definitely think Rim Country is friendly. And I think you kind of get back what you put out, so if you say Hello, or Hi, or Thank You, you will get a nice response. Once in awhile I will hold a door open for someone and not get a thank you, but very seldom does that happen.
Hey Pat, great website!

My Husband and I both grew up in Phoenix, and when we moved here I was 5 1/2 months along. We were sitting in the "old" Wal-Mart Radio Grill and some very friendly Older Ladies started talking to us. They were both so very nice and very happy for us and the upcoming birth of our first child. Both of us being in our 20's were so shocked that these ladies were so nice. They ask us if we had everything we needed for our son, and we said no, but we still had plenty of time. They left, and as we sat in shock at the true kindness we had just experienced they came back, and said they went over to the baby department and looked around. They handed me an envelope and said please go get some things you need for your baby from us. I started crying because we never mentioned that I could no longer work because I had been on bed rest due to having a high risk pregnency. My husband and I told them we couldn't take there money, but they said they would be offended if we didn't. We thanked them over and over again, and they told us they would see us again because it was a small town.
We never did see either of the kind, sweet, caring ladies again, but that day I knew we had our first lesson on how kind, compassionate, caring, and nice people in our new home town were.
We love Payson and the Rim Country, and are so very glad we moved here. Thank You to all of the Kind people who always are ready with a smile, wave, or even a head nod when we don't even know each other.
My faith in humanity has been renewed.
